Hazel Lucille Goodman Corriher, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 19, 2022 surrounded by her family. Hazel was born September 25, 1934 in Rowan County to the late William Thomas and Ida Bell Roseman Goodman.
Hazel was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Ms. Corriher worked at Cannon Mills for 47 years prior to her retirement. While working at Cannon Mills, she also worked part-time at Mills Florist for 31 years. After leaving the workforce, Hazel volunteered for 14 years at Northeast Medical Center. She was a Member of Rogers Park United Church of Christ. Hazel had many talents, which included sewing and crocheting.
Ms. Corriher was predeceased by her beloved husband Johnny Bradford Corriher in 2016. Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Nancy Darby and her husband Daryl and Kathy Eudy and her husband Steve; her sister, Carrie Reavis; four grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 12:30-1:30pm at Whitley’s Funeral Home, with a funeral service to remember and celebrate Ms. Corriher’s life starting at 1:30pm in The Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marty Payton officiating. Entombment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove.
