Hazel Ruth Tarlton Rogers

Obituary: Hazel Ruth Tarlton Rogers, 97 of Kannapolis died at her home on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015. Mrs. Rogers was born on Oct. 23, 1918 in Cabarrus Co. the daughter of the late Charlie Cull Tarlton and the late Stella Murph Tarlton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert A. "Hub" Rogers; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers; Charlie Tarlton and Howard Tarlton and sister; Joyce Martin. Hazel was a member of North Kannapolis Baptist Ch. and worked at Cannon Mills Co. retiring after 35 years of service. In recent years, she was a homemaker where she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She certainly adored them all. Survivors include her three sons; James E. Rogers (Fay) of California, Lawrence Rogers (Carol) and Fred Rogers both of Kannapolis; a daughter, Doris Kluttz (Gary) of Rockwell; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great grandchildren; one great-great-great grandchild; and two sisters; Geraldine Lanning of Denton, NC and Judy Hendrix of Kannapolis. The service for Mrs. Rogers will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, Nov. 13, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Chris O'Guin. Burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends 6-7:30 Thursday night at Whitley's Funeral Home.
