Obituary: Hazel Allmon Stirewalt, 75, of China Grove went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 19 from her home following a period of declining health. Her funeral will be at 2:00 PM Friday, June 22 at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel with Hazel's Brother-in-law Rev. Bryson Bigby officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in China Grove. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the Annex Chapel at other times they will be at the family residence. Hazel was born October 8, 1936 in Rowan Co., a daughter of the late David and Pearl Beck Allmon. She was a lifelong area resident and member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church. Hazel was a homemaker for her family. She will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Audrey Eugene Stirewalt, of the family home, her son, Kenny Stirewalt of China Grove, her daughter, Tracy Davidson (Rick) of Shelby, her sister; Mary Evers of Rockwell, Faye Heilig of China Grove and Frances Bigby (Rev. Bryson Bigby) of Concord, also surviving are 2 grandchildren; Matthew and Alyssa Davidson, and 2 great-grandchildren; Halen Davidson and Caleb Petrea.
