Obituary: Hazelene Goodman Faggart, age 90, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, NC. She was born January 12, 1925 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of the late William A. Goodman and Maggie Jewette Suther Goodman. In 1987 Hazelene retired from the Sheet Dept. at the former Cannon Mills Company in Kannapolis after many years of service. She was also an avid homemaker that loved to garden. She and her late husband, Clyde Morris Faggart, were actively involved with the Piedmont Farmers Market for ten years. She was also an active member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church, China Grove, NC where she was responsible for altar flowers for many years. In addition to her husband and parents she is also preceded by five brothers, Opal, Frank, Bill, Hobart, and Carl Goodman; and a sister, Louise G. Carter. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at Ebenezer Lutheran Church, China Grove, NC officiated by Rev. Bob Young. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:45 PM Wednesday at the church prior to the service. Survivors are her children, Patsy F. Rogers and Tom Faggart (Judy), both of Rockwell, NC; and Sue Boone (Bob) of Kannapolis, NC; grandchildren, Todd Rogers (Stacey) of Kannapolis, NC; Scott Rogers (Kristy) of Rockwell, NC; Brian Rogers (Stephanie) of Charlotte, NC; and Bobbi Boone of Mooresville, NC; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Logan, MacKenzie, and Braxton Rogers, and Jeremy.
