Obituary: Helen Janette Brooks, 84, passed away July 11, 2017 at Saturn Nursing Center in Charlotte. Born June 6, 1933 in Cabarrus County, she was a daughter of the late Cyrus and Maby Stamey Brooks. Mrs. Brooks was a retired nurse and had served with US Air Force. She is survived by her nephew, Cyrus Brooks of Kannapolis and niece, Marie Brooks Wall. Private services will be held at a later date.
