Obituary: Helen Moss Coone, 70, of Mooresville died Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at her home after battling early onset dementia for over 11 years. Services will be held at 3:30 PM Saturday, April 27 at Whitley's Funeral Chapel with her nephew, Rev. Derrick Adcock, officiating. Burial will follow at Kannapolis Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home from 2:00 to 3:30 PM Saturday. Helen was born January 8, 1949 in Cabarrus Co., a daughter of the late Mason and Lucille Rodgers Moss. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Kay Moss. She was a lifelong area resident and longtime member of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church. She graduated from A. L. Brown High School and then worked in data entry for Cabarrus Radiology for 31 years until she retired. Helen loved Elvis, reading, her coffee, going to the beach and Disney World, and most of all, her family. She was the perfect mother and will be dearly missed. She is survived by her son, Ronald Coone (Julia) of Mint Hill, her daughter, Tina Honeycutt of Mooresville, her sister, Ann Adcock (Lynn) of Kannapolis, her brothers; William Arnold Moss of Kannapolis and Gary Moss (Anita) of Landis and her loving caregiver Jeremy Frink as well as many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
