Obituary: Helen Margaret Daff Harper-Copeland, 85, of China Grove died Friday, April 24, 2015 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury after a period of declining health. Her funeral service will be held at Bethel Wesleyan Church at 6:00 PM on Sunday, April 26 with Rev. Joe Harding officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Jefferson Memorial Park in Pittsburgh PA. Her family will receive friends at the church at 5:00 PM, an hour prior to the funeral. Helen was born September 24, 1929 in Randolph Co. West Virginia, a daughter of the late Olen and Elma Smith Daff. She moved to this area in 1998 from PA. Helen was a homemaker for her family. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her first husband, William "Bill" Harper in 2000. Those left to cherish her memories include her husband James R. Copeland of the home, her son Garry Harper of Monroe, her daughter, Gwen Hoyt of Graham, her 4 grandchildren; William E. Harper II, Matthew S. Harper, Nichole Flett and Nicholas Jones, her great-grandson, Jaxon Flett and her sister, Nelda Goodwin of Kannapolis.
