Helen Hendley

Obituary: Helen Rose Holmes Hendley, 88, passed away Monday, December 15, 2014 at CMC - Northeast. Mrs. Hendley was born April 21, 1926 in Rockingham County to Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Holmes. Helen was married to Milas "June" Hendley who preceded her in 2000. She retired after many years of service from Cannon Mills; was an excellent cook, made cakes, sold Tupperware and Avon; She was also a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include her son, William "Linny" Hendley (Rita) of Landis; two grandchildren, Lynn Hendley (Christy) of Kannapolis, and Angie McKinney (Jeff) of Landis; three great- grandchildren, Carter Hendley, Timothy Cox, and Cameron Cox; and two step-sisters, Norma Ballard and Ann Stephens both of Kannapolis. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
