Helen Sue Henry Snead

Obituary: Helen Sue Henry Sneed, 96, of 2105 Woodlawn Street, Kannapolis died at her residence on Feb. 12, 2014. Mrs. Sneed was born on Dec. 31, 1917 in Rutherford Co., NC, the daughter of the late John Henry and Mamie Tucker Henry. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William F. Sneed who passed away in 2000. Mrs. Sneed was a member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church and retired in 1982 from the former Cannon Mills Inc. where she had worked for 30 years in the weave room. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her 2 sons; Joel Sneed of Kannapolis and Steve Sneed (Leah) of Mooresville, NC, 3 grandchildren; Karen Robinson of Charlotte, Brent Sneed and Lauren Sneed both of Mooresville, NC. The funeral service for Mrs. Sneed will be held Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, a 2:00 p.m. graveside services at Bessemer City Cemetery in Bessemer City, NC conducted by Rev. Jim Gregg.
