Obituary: Mrs. Helen Frances Honbarger Swenson, 79, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at CMC-NorthEast following a period of declining health.She was born August 18, 1932 in Cabarrus County, a daughter of the late John Henry and Beulah Shoe Honbarger. She was employed at Cannon Mills Pt.#1 spinning room until her retirement due to disability. Helen was a member of the Church of God of the Bible. She loved flowers and was known for her green thumb. She also loved going to the beach. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 14, 2011 at Whitey's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor Darrell Furr. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. At other times they will be at their respective residences. Interment will follow in West Concord Cemetery. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a son, David Michael Swenson and her husband, Milton Harry Swenson who died March 6, 1996.Survivors include two daughters, Frances "Dodie" Canupp and husband Johnny and Kathy Kelly and husband Tony Frampton all of Kannapolis, two brothers, Harold Honbarger and Rodney Honbarger and wife Connie all of Concord, one sister, Connie Wright and husband Ronnie of Kannapolis, six grandchildren, Chris and Anthony Frampton, Misty Johnson, Johnny, David and Michael Canupp and five great-grandchildren.Memorials may be made to Church of God of the Bible, 1111 Birch Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.Online condolences may be sent to www.whitleysfuneralhome.com
