Helen Clodfelter Woodie

Obituary: Helen Clodfelter Woodie, age 76, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was born September 22, 1938 in Rowan County, NC, the daughter of the late John Harris Clodfelter and Mary Lucille Weaver Clodfelter. She was a 1956 graduate of Landis High School. Helen was a homemaker practically all of her life putting much tender loving care into raising her family. She spent much quality time with them throughout the years, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and was known for her family dinners. She was a member of New Hope Lutheran Church, Kannapolis, NC. She loved watching birds in her yard having many bird feeders to provide them food. Also, she loved music and traveling with her husband in earlier years . In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Hack Woodie on January 23, 2003; a son, Dale Robin Woodie; and a son-in-law, Christopher Todd Fowler. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at New Hope Lutheran Church, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Roger Storms. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at the church prior to the service. Survivors include her children, Sonia (Alan) Pozyck and Gay (David) Waller, both of China Grove, NC; Duane (Angela) Woodie of Rockwell, NC; Genene Fowler of Salisbury, NC; nine grandchildren, Amber, Heather, Hunter, Cameron, Piercen, Shelby, Katie, Brandie, and Kellie; twelve great-grandchildren; and one brother, Hoyle (Nancy) Clodfelter of Kannapolis, NC. Memorials may be made to New Hope Lutheran Church, 1615 Brantley Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083 or Hospice of Rowan County, Inc., 720 Grove Street, Salisbury, NC 28144.
Visitation: 11:30-1:00 PM, Tuesday March 3, 2015 New Hope Lutheran Church.

Service: 1:00 PM, Tuesday March 3, 2015 New Hope Lutheran Church.

Interment: West Lawn Memorial Park China Grove, North Carolina
