Helen Louise (Cruse) Jackson

Helen Louise Cruse Jackson, 97, of Kannapolis passed away peacefully January 27, 2023. She was born on August 3, 1925 in Cabarrus County, a daughter of the late Floyd Herman Cruse and Alma Hopkins Cruse. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Jackson in 2001.  Her brother, Herman Lee Cruse, and two sisters, Laura C. Osborne and Dolly C. Richardson, also preceded her in death.

Louise was a 1943 graduate of Cannon High School.  She retired from Cannon Mills after 40 years, working 38 years in the Wash Cloth Department and 2 years in the Industrial Engineering Department. She was an active member of Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church since the age of 16 where she had been involved in many church activities throughout her lifetime. She especially enjoyed years of teaching Sunday School, her Circle friends, Bible studies, and travelling with the JOY group.   She loved flowers and working in her yard and she was an avid reader. Louise’s life centered around her family and her church.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church officiated by Rev. John Futtterer. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends at Kimball prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Louise is survived  by her son, Timothy James Jackson (Huyla), grandchildren, Bradley Taylor Jackson, Hunter McNair Jackson,  great grandsons William Gray Jackson and West McNair Jackson, and beloved sister,  Margaret C. McCombs, along with a number of nieces and nephews.
