Herman Harris

Obituary: Herman Harris, 90, of Kannapolis, NC died at his home on April 25, 2013. Herman was born on April 7, 1923 to the late Charles Henry Harris and Georgia Ethal Reader Harris. He was an active member of First Baptist Church, the American legion, Kannapolis Rotary Club and Y's Mens. He owned self-service laundries and car washes in Kannapolis, Concord and China Grove. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home from 2:30-3;30 PM Saturday April 27th before a graveside service at 4 pm Sat. at Carolina Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife Sarah Williams Harris, daughters Linda Harris Moore, her husband Samuel M. Moore and children Derek Moore and Katherine Moore of Kannapolis and Jane Harris Miller, her husband Jerry R. Miler and sons Andrew Miller and Benjamin Miller of Forest Hill, Maryland. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 101 N. Main Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
