Obituary: Howard Junior Wilson, 81, of Kannapolis died Monday July 4, 2011 at CMC-NE in Concord after an extended period of declining health.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, July 7 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Marion, NC at 3:00 PM Thursday. The family will receive friends at Whitley's funeral Home from 10:00 - 11:00 AM.Howard was born October 11, 1928 in Marion NC, a son of Lonnie and Etta Jones Wilson. He served in many Baptist Churches as Minister of Music and Christian Education, including 1st Baptist Churches of Beauford NC, Lillington NC and Ringold GA, and West Point Baptist Church Kannapolis.Survivors include his wife, Josephine Throneburg Wilson of the family home, 1 brother-in-law, 3 sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.Online condolences may be left at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com and should friends desire memorial donations may be made to West Point Baptist Church 1100 Pine Street, Kannapolis, NC 28081
