Obituary: Hoy L. Kluttz, 71 of Kannapolis went to be with his Lord on Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Brian Center in Concord. His death follows a brief period of declining health. Hoy was born on December 13, 1942 in Rowan County, the son of the late Cansler and May Belle Beaver Kluttz. Hoy was both an over-the-road and local truck driver for 44 years. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. He loved life and never met a stranger. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. A memorial service to celebrate Hoys life will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 30, 2013 at St. Johns United Church of Christ with Dr. H. Warren Casiday officiating. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the services. Whitley's Funeral Home is assisting the family. Hoy is survived by his wife; Claudean Smith Kluttz of the home, a daughter; Kaye Miller and husband Mike of Enochville, grandchildren; Madeline Overcash and husband Blake, and Tiffeny Miller, and a sister; Sheila Peeler of Kannapolis.
