Hoyle Edward Cook

Obituary: Hoyle Edward Cook, 82, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Cook was born August 18, 1931 in Cabarrus County to the late Jessie Albert Cook, Sr. and Mary Bell Faggart Cook. Hoyle was a member of Westside Church of the Nazarene; he retired from Moss Trucking Company; and he worked part-time at Bi Lo in Kannapolis. Survivors include his two sons, Tony Mark Thompson of West Virginia and Roger Hoyle Cook of Concord; and a daughter, Renee Thompson Shoaf of Gold Hill, NC; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Mr. Cook was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret Josephine Cook; and his brother, Jessie Albert Cook, Jr. A funeral service will be held 7 P.M. Friday, August 30, 2013 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dodd Parrish officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 P.M. Friday evening prior to the service.
