Obituary: Hugh Jackson "Jack" Anderson, age 86, formerly of 6047 Tuckaseegee Rd. in Kannapolis died Thursday, March 25, 2010 at St. Andrew's Living Center, Concord after an extended period of declining health. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Sunday, March 28 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with David Shoemake officiating, and burial following at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 2:30 - 4:00 PM Sunday at Whitley's Funeral Home at other times they will be at the home of Wayne Anderson, 6047 Tuckaseegee Rd. in Kannapolis. "Jack" was born August 10, 1923 in Wilkes Co. NC, the son of the Late Gordon and Mattie Tetter Anderson. He was a veteran of the US Navy and a long time area resident. He retired from Cannon Mills, Plant 1 in the #7 Spinning Room. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Matthews Anderson in 2007 and by his sister May Call and his brother, Robert Anderson, both of North Wilkesboro. He is survived by his 3 sons Wayne Anderson and Reid Anderson of Kannapolis and Ray Anderson of Greer, SC. and by 3 grand-daughters; Jessica, Megan and Elizabeth Anderson.
