Obituary: Ida Gelava "Specs" Clodfelter Beach, 86, of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her family, following two major strokes three days prior. Her funeral will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, August 23 at Living Water Church of God Fellowship with Rev. Wade Easom, Rev. Ken Beach and Rev. Ron Beach officiating. Burial will follow at the National Cemetery in Salisbury. Her family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 22 at Living Water Church. After the funeral, her family will gather at her residence. Ida was born February 7, 1931 in High Point, a daughter of the late Jay and Fannie Lackey Clodfelter. She was raised in Washington DC and a longtime resident of Waldorf, MD. Ida moved to this area with her husband in 2006 to be near her family. She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Waldorf. Ida was a homemaker to her family. She loved to cook, sew, crochet and bake beautiful cakes. Ida was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents, Ida was preceded in death by her husband Gibson Beach, her great-granddaughter, Mackenzie Rose Beach, her 2 sisters and her 2 brothers. Those left to cherish her memories include her sons; Don Beach (Judy) of Waldorf MD, Rev. Ron Beach (Sam) of WA, Rev. Ken Beach (Sandy) of MI, Larry Beach (Rose) of Concord, her daughters; Bonnie Blount (David) of Landis, Elizabeth Hammond (Harry) of Salisbury and Karen McDuffie (Bob) of Nanjemoy MD. Ida is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren and her brothers, Billy Ray Clodfelter Sr. (Joan) and Fred Allen Clodfelter Sr.(Joann.
