Obituary: Jackie (Jack) Dean Gilmore, age 60, died Sunday, December 4, 2011 at CMC-NorthEast, Concord, NC.He was born January 30, 1951 in Union County, NC, the son of Ray Bunion Gilmore of Kannapolis, NC and Margaret Elizabeth Gulledge Stackleather of Poole, NC.Jack was owner & operator of Gilmore Insurance Agency, Concord, NC for many years. He received numerous awards for his service in the insurance industry. He was an avid golfer having memberships at The Club at Irish Creek and Cabarrus Country Club. He is remembered as a man who loved fishing, motorsports, and traveling especially to the coast. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, North Campus, 2350 Odell School Road, Charlotte, NC where he was a member. The service will be officiated by Dr. Joe Brown and Rev. Jason Lanier. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 12:00 P.M. Wednesday at the church prior to the service.Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Lynn Hicks Gilmore; two sons, Logan Gilmore and Blake Gilmore, both of Concord, NC; two brothers, Ronnie Gilmore & wife, Connie of China grove, NC and Mickie Gilmore & wife, Lynn of Denver, NC; two step-children, Dallas Read of Kannapolis, NC and Autumn Read-Schackert; and two step-grandchildren, Austin and Violet Read. Memorials may be made to the CMC-NorthEast Foundation, % Jeff Gordon Childrens Hospital, 920 Church Street North, Concord, NC 28025.
Visitation: 10 - 12:00 Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011 at Hickory Grove Baptist Ch., N. Campus in Charlotte, NC.

Service: 1:00 P.M., Wednesday Dec. 7, 2011 at Hickory Grove Baptist Ch. N. Campus - 2350 Odell School Road, Charlotte, N.C.

Interment: Carolina Memorial Park.
