Inez Miller Harrington

Obituary: Inez Miller Harrington, age 88, passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016 at Five Oaks Manor in Concord after a period of declining health. Inez was born May 1, 1927 in Danielsville GA, the daughter of the late Hubert E. and Effie Cary Miller. She moved to Kannapolis in 1930 with her family. Inez worked for the former Fieldcrest Cannon Mills as a cutter in the wash cloth dept. She retired after 40 years of service in 1987. Inez was of the Baptist faith. She was fond of gardening, flowers and collecting antiques. Inez was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include; two sons, James R. Harding, Jr. of Conway, SC and Clint M. Harper of Royston, GA; her daughter, Tina Harrington Phillips of Kannapolis, NC; two sons, Fred E. Harrington, Jr. of Concord, NC and Charlie L. Harrington of Rockwell, NC and 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren and many other loving relatives. In addition to her parents, Inez was preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. Harrington, her daughter, Deartry Sherrill and her grandson Caleb James Harding. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 9 at Whitley's Main Chapel with Rev. Mike Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina memorial Park. Her family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, March 8.
