Inez Arnold Smith

Obituary: Inez Arnold Smith, age 89, of Kannapolis went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 11, 2011 with her family at her side, at CMC-NorthEast after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Monday, Feb. 14 at First Wesleyan Church of Kannapolis with Pastor James Matchette officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 to 2:30 PM Monday. Inez was born August 17, 1921 in Randolph Co. NC, a daughter of the late John and Bettie Miller Arnold. She graduated from Davis Townsend High School in Lexington. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church in Kannapolis and the Friendly School Class. Inez was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas B. Smith, Sr., her sister Clara Garner and her brother, Sam Arnold. Survivors include her daughter, Terri Montgomery (Tony) of Rockwell, her son, Tommy Smith (Lynn) of Kannapolis, her grandchildren, Joshua and Tayler Smith, her brother Worth Arnold of Trinity, NC and her sisters, Ola Mae Pope of Trinity, NC and Ruby Garrison of LaGrange, KY.
