Iris Violet Rentas Guilbe

Obituary: Iris Violet Rentas Guilbe, age 58, of Concord died Friday, July 12, 2013 at University Place Nursing Center in Charlotte. Iris was born November 13, 1954 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Eduardo Rentas and Francesca Vasquez of Kannapolis. She moved to this area from Chicago in 1987. She was a Spanish interpreter at University Hospital in the ER for many years until her health prevented her working. In addition to her mother, Iris is survived by her husband of 38 years, Juan E. Guilbe of the home; her daughter, Iris Jeannette Guilbe-Carter of Concord; her son, Ricky J. Guilbe of Kannapolis; 4 grandchildren, Samantha and Kinley Guilbe and Chancellor and Daesha Carter.
