Iris Jewell Robinette, 86, of Kannapolis, gained her heavenly reward on, Monday, May 24, 2021 at Atrium Health Cabarrus.
She was born December 7, 1934 in Union Co. to the late Augustus Wade Biggers and Mary Lee Pope Biggers.
Jewell worked for many years at Pillowtex and later as a hostess at Cracker Barrel. She was a devoted member of Brookdale Baptist Church and served many years as a Sunday school teacher prior to her declining health. She dearly loved her church and her church family. Jewell devoted her life to helping others and being a faithful servant to the Lord. Jewell also enjoyed, reading, gardening, canning, and cooking. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.
She was preceded in death by a son Mark Anthony Robinette, two sisters Rachel Robinette (John) and Gloria Dean Sellers (Donnie), and special friend Mac Fite.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Robin Presson (Scott) of Kannapolis, two granddaughters Lauren Presson of Kannapolis, Sarah Robinette of Kannapolis, two great grandchildren Calum and Haegen. In addition, Jewell is survived by sister-in-law Colleen Wilhelm (Leonard) of Kannapolis and a number of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday May 28, 2021 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Hubbard, and Rev. Jonathon Barnette officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
Visitation will be prior to the service from 2-3 PM at Whitley's Funeral Home.
