Obituary: Mr. I.V. Nobles, 85, of 831 Fairview Street, Kannapolis, died at CMC-NE on Tuesday, April 6, 2010. Mr. Nobles was born on March 17, 1925 in Columbus Co., NC, the son of the late Hiram Nobles and the late Luddie Norris Nobles. In addition to his parents, IV is preceded in death by six brothers and sisters. Mr. Nobles is survived by his wife, Estelle Williams Nobles of the home. 1 son, Wayne Nobles and wife, Rachel of Salisbury. 2 sisters; Deborah Nobles of the home and Tammy Bunn and husband, Billy of Kannapolis. 4 grandchildren; Elizabeth Bunn, Faith Nobles, Austin Nobles, Susan Nobles and fiancée, Gary Wyatt. 2 great-grandchildren; Natalie Cunningham and Emma Wyatt. I.V. was a veteran of WW-2 and Korea serving with the artillery in the U.S. Army. He had been employed with the former Cannon Mills Co. working in the Dye Dept. The funeral service for I.V. will take place at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel at 2p.m., Friday, April 9th conducted by Rev. Mike Mullis. Burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00p.m. Thursday, April 8th.
