Jack Dwight Osborne, 91, of Concord, previously of Kannapolis, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 31, 2021, at Atrium Health Stanly in Albemarle, following a brief period of declining health.
Born February 7, 1930, in Cabarrus County, Jack was a son of the late A.O. and Laura Keller Osborne. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Ed and O.C. Osborne.
Mr. Osborne had retired from Cannon Mills, as an overseer, after many years of loyal service. Earlier in Life, Jack had honorably served his country with the US Army and National Guard. He was a member of Bethpage UMC, a member of Irish Creek Country Club, and was a great golfer. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Jack will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family members include his wife of 30 years, Betty Osborne; his daughters, Terry Brown (Don), Kathy Eudy (Terry) and Karen Love (Jeff); his grandchildren, Laura and Josh Abernethy, Josh, Shelia and Carmen Baldwin, and Jessica, Andrew and Kadie Love; great-grandchildren, Bailey and Slade Winfield, Ellie and Bear Baldwin, Fisher, Emmett and Ruby Abernethy and Maggie Love.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at Bethpage United Methodist Church. Services to remember and celebrate Jack’s life will begin at 2:00 pm in the church, conducted by Gary McDonald, Pastor. Burial will follow the services at Carolina Memorial Park.
