Obituary: Jacqueline Gohn Linker, 65, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018, at Tucker Hospice House of Kannapolis, surrounded by her loving family. Jackie was born September 8, 1953 in Concord, NC to the late Mary and Vern Gohn. She was an active member of Parkwood Baptist Church in Concord where she was a leader of the Sonshine Special Needs Ministry. Jackie retired as an educator with Kannapolis City Schools and Rowan Cabarrus Community College. She was preceded in death by her parents. Jackie is survived by her husband of 45 years, Gary Linker; daughter, Meredith Valentine and husband, Toss, son, Phillip Linker and wife, Jera; twin sister, Kathy Doster and husband, Bob; sister-in-law, Donna Linn and husband Doug; grandchildren, Stuart and Oliver Valentine and Ansley and Brooklyn Linker; nieces and nephews, Amy Jung and husband, Andy, Kristin Trick and husband, Matthew, Andrew Trick, Anna Trick, Christian Linn, Tiffany Linn and Todd Linn; stepmother Betty Gohn, along with many special friends. A celebration of life will be held at 2pm on Thursday, October 18 at Parkwood Baptist Church, with the Revs. Michael Waters, Darrell Coble, and Andy Jung officiating. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 17, from 6 to 8 pm, at Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis.
