James Clegg Aldridge

James Clegg “Jimmy” Aldridge, 64, of Huntersville, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born June 12, 1960, in Concord, NC, James was the beloved son of Clegg “Tiger” Aldridge and the late Sonia Griffin Aldridge. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Lee and Eva Nell Griffin.

James enjoyed racing, football and spending time with his beloved dog, Barney. A devoted employee of SpringHill Suites, he loved his job and his coworkers. Gone too soon, James will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.

Family members include his longtime fiancé, Karen Gorski, father, Clegg “Tiger” Aldridge and wife, Eva; his sisters, Nelda Aldridge Call and Dana Aldridge Cress (Wayne); a daughter, Tiffany Aldridge Williams; his sons, Christopher James Aldridge (Heidi) and Joshua Shane Aldridge; 4 grandchildren, Caleb and Kelsey Williams, and Brayden and Mason Aldridge.

A memorial service to remember and give thanks for James’ life will begin at 3:30 pm Sunday, February 2nd in the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Reverend Dennis Craft. The family will receive friends from 3:00-3:30 prior to the service. A private burial will take place on a later date.
