James “Jim” Lee Brady , 76, of China Grove gained his eternal wings on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Atrium Health Cabarrus after a short illness.

A graveside service to remember Jim’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 24 at Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church Cemetery with Rev. Chris O’Guin officiating. Please wear a mask and practice appropriate social distancing.

Jim was born August 27, 1944 in Rowan Co., a son of the late Robert Lee and Edna Garver Brady. He was a lifelong area resident and member of Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church. Jim worked for AllState Insurance Comp. as a field district claims manager. He enjoyed restoring old cars and fishing at the beach. Jim was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish his memories include his wife of 55 years, Janice Lea Ruff Brady, his son Scott Brady (Kristie) and his daughter, Lynn B. Sellers (Craig), all of China Grove. He is survived by his beloved grandchildren; Chris Sellers (Jennifer), Marissa Basinger (Spencer), Allison Taylor (Jeff) and Cameron Brady; his great-grandchildren, Aubree, Erin, Addilyn and Layla, his brothers Allen Brady (Dianne) and Verne Brady (Cindy) as well as numerous loving step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
