James Max Duffell

Obituary: James Max Duffell, 78, of Salisbury passed away on August 12, 2015 at his home. He was born September 3, 1936 in Cabarrus County, the son of the late James Raymond Duffell and Bertie Mae Collins Duffell. Max was a retired truck driver and pipe insulator working in the area for many years. He enjoyed fishing and working in his garden. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Carolina Memorial Park officiated by Rev. Gerry Steedley. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Whitley's Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joett Thomason Duffell, daughter Christy Canupp (Andy), son, Steve Duffell (Donna), grandchildren, Joshua Duffell, Rex Baucom (Krystal), Ashley Shinn (Brad), Jennifer Baucom, great grandchildren, April, Trey and Sadie.
