James Steven Funderburke, Jr.

James Steven Funderburke, Jr. 53, peacefully passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 at Novant Health CMC-Main in Charlotte following a short illness. His family was by his side.

He was born August 8, 1968 in Boston, Mass. He later was a resident of Salisbury.

James graduated from Northwest High School in 1987. He will be greatly missed by his family and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Funderburke, Sister, Victoria and Nephew Jesse. Survivors include his father, James Steven Funderburke, Sr., brother, Tom and wife Dena, two nieces; Sarah and Ashlyn, two great nieces, Marley and Ella and his life partner, Debbie Wallice.

The family will have a private service for James at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Ave, Unit 100, Charlotte, NC 28207, or to the American Diabetes Association, 2923 S Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28203.
