James Ray Goodman

Obituary: James Ray Goodman, 62, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 20, 2015 at his residence. Death was unexpected. James was born December 12, 1952 Rowan County, NC son of the late James Fleming and Mildred Coleen Goodman. He was educated in the Rowan County Schools and was of the Baptist Faith. Prior to his retirement due to disability he had been employed as a cook at various restaurants in Rowan and Cabarrus County. Survivors include three brothers, Tommy Ray Fleming and Allen Wayne Fleming both of Kannapolis and Michael Lee Fleming of Rockwell, and one sister, Betty Campbell of Kannapolis. Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 23, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Leo Morgan. Interment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00-1:00 P.M. prior to the service. At other times they will be at the residence.
