Obituary: James Willard Hardie, age 86, of Concord, formerly of Pullman, WA died Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at CMC-NE after a period of declining health.A graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM Monday, December 19 at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent WA with Military Honors conducted by the USMC and the Tahoma National Cemetery Honor Guard.Mr. Hardie was born June 21, 1925 in Galveston, TX , a son of the late John H. and Nola B. Baker Hardie. He was retired from Wash. State Univ. in Pullman WA, where he was Administrator of Instructional Television Services. He moved to Concord to be with family.He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlys Jean Nielsen Hardie in 2002 and by 2 brothers.Mr. Hardie is survived by his son, Gregory S. Hardie and his wife, Hope and grandsons, Garrison and Dawson all of Concord; and also granddaughter, Brett Ashley Wing and husband, Brad and great-granddaughter, Hazel Elizabeth Wing all of Boise, ID and a number of nieces and nephews.Online condolences may be left at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com
