James Oscar Huneycutt, 78, of Kannapolis, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, December 20, 2020, at Atrium Health- Main in Charlotte.
Born August 1, 1942 in Cabarrus County, James was the son of the late Baxter Wayne Huneycutt and Margaret Louise Pittman Huneycutt. In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his sister Mary Ann Isenhour.
James had a strong relationship with the Lord and was a charter member of Royal Oaks United Methodist Church. He loved attending church and was an active member of the United Methodist Mens. James was a kind soul who never met a stranger. He always kept a church card in his pocket to share with people he met. James loved visiting the mountains and watching old western movies. He enjoyed sports, watching NASCAR and cheering on the Carolina Panthers.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife Mary Archie Huneycutt, his son Wayne Huneycutt, his nephews Don and Jeff Isenhour, and his niece Nancy.
Funeral Services to Honor his life will he held Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Royal Oaks United Methodist in Kannapolis. Services will be officiated by Pastor Chad Irons. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church beginning at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Royal Oaks UMC 1020 Kansas St. Kannapolis, NC 28083
