Obituary: James Jackson Sides, of 1607 Valwood St. died Monday, June 27, 2011 at Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House after a period of declining health.A memorial service will be held at a later date.James was born in Charlotte, NC on January 15, 1939, a son of the late Garvice Wesley Sides and Gladys Mae White Sides. He was a life long area resident graduating from A. L. Brown in 1956 and worked until his retirement as an inspector for Cannon Mills.He is survived by his sons; Dennis and Wayne Sides, both of Kannapolis, 4 grandchildren, and 2 brothers, Phil W. Sides of Kannapolis and Larry D. Sides of Laurinburg.
