James Stafford Jones

Obituary: James Stafford Jones, 72, of Kannapolis passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Tucker Hospice House. He was born April 15, 1945 in Lee County, SC to the late Stafford Jones and Edith Hopkins Jones. James was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. He was an electrician for Cannon Mills and later IBM, he was a member of Westover Church of God Prophecy. James was a loving and devoted husband, brother, uncle and a friend to many he was loved by all who knew him. He will surely be missed. He was preceded in death by three sisters Louise Jones, Etta Todd, and Jane Blackwell. Those left to cherish his memory, his wife of 33 years Christy Isenhour Jones, one sister Annie Ruth Deal (Paul) of Kannapolis, one brother in law Wayne Todd of Mullis, SC, he is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 11:00 to 12:00 PM Wed prior to the service at Whitley's Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Wed. Feb. 21 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Flack and Rev. Jack Kivett, burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park with military graveside rites.
