Obituary: James Carroll Jordan, 73, of Salisbury went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 27, 2017 at CHC-Northeast Medical Center, Concord. Death was unexpected. James was born June 7, 1944 in Chesterfield County, SC a son of the late William Lester and Nezzie Stein Jordan. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dixie Jones Jordan who died October 27, 2014; four brothers; Archie Jordan, Ems Jordan, Paul Jordan, and Elby Jordan. Survivors left to cherish his memory are the Light of His Life; Dottie Green of Concord, daughter, Pamela Jordan (Scott) Legge of Concord, son, Edward Jordan of Charleston, five grandchildren; David Chappell (Katie), Ryne Jordan (Whitley), Blake Jordan (Cydney), Brandley Legge, and Ashley Legge, and one great-grandchild, Rylee Grace Chappell. He is also survived by three sisters; Odell Honeycutt and Magnette Stewart both of Kannapolis, and Sherry (Jack) Jackson of Mt. Pleasant, and one brother, Bill (Linda) Jordan of China Grove. James attended Kannapolis Church of God. He loved playing the guitar, old cars, music, and shagging. He enjoyed spending time with Dottie and the rest of his family. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Funeral services will be 7:00 P.M. Friday, December 1, 2017 at Central Baptist Church, Kannapolis with Rev. Tommy Gibbs officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the residence. Graveside Services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Brookhill Memorial Gardens, Rockwell. Whitley's Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. Jordan. Online condolences may be made to www.whitleysfuneralhome.com
