Obituary: James Bryson (Jimmy) Lindsay Jr., 50, of Robbins, NC formerly of Kannapolis died Monday Nov. 2, 2009 at First Health Montgomery Memorial Hospital in Troy. He was born September 8, 1959 in Cabarrus County the son of the late James B. Lindsay Sr. and Ruth Farrell Lindsay of Mooresville. He was also preceded in death by a daughter Lisa Marie Lindsay. He was employed with Southern Correctional Institution in Troy. He was a member of the Caring Hands Committee with his fellow employees at the Southern Corrections Institution He was a veteran of the US Navy. He loved fishing and hunting. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday (Nov. 7, 2009) at God's Church of Faith in Kannapolis officiated by Rev. Jeff Upright. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife Tamera Overcash Lindsay, 3 sons, James Bryson Lindsay III of Pensacola, Fl, Shane Andre` Lindsay of Myrtle Beach, SC and Nathan Tyler Lindsay of the home, two grandchildren Courtney Leigh Roseman and Julian Pacheco, and a sister Patricia Clubb of Mooresville.
