James Albert Lynch

James Albert Lynch, 82, passed away Thursday morning, February 27, 2020, at Atrium Health Cabarrus, following a period of declining health.

Born January 16, 1938, in Pittsylvania County, VA, he was the son of the late Albert James and Ruby Lucille Marcus Lynch.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Tony Lee Lynch, and a half brother, Robert Lynch.James had devotedly worked for many years at both Linn-Mills and Cannon Mills. He had also driven for A and S Taxi Company. A hard working, simple man, James loved all of his family and cherished the time spent with them. Mr. Lynch also loved going to church and was a member of Mt. Olive Free Will Baptist Church.  A loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family members left to cherish his memory include his wife, Janice Marilyn Carrouth Lynch; his daughter, Kathy Brackett and her husband, Denny; his grandsons, Tommy and James Brackett; and his great-grandson, Jacob Lee Brackett.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 2nd, from 12:00-2:00 pm at Whitley’s Funeral Home.  Funeral services to remember and celebrate the life of Mr. Lynch will begin at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Pastor Ronnie Brown.  Mr. Lynch will be laid to rest at Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery following the chapel service.
