Obituary: Kannapolis-James Edward "Eddie" Moore, 66, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016. Born June 10, 1949 in Chesterfield County, SC, he was a son of the late Harget Franklin and Mamie Elizabeth Tucker Moore. Mr. Moore had retired as a welder with Duke Energy Nuclear Plant after 17 years of service. A loving husband, father and grandfather, Eddie loved his family, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and running his Beagle dogs. He was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church and Cannon Memorial Masonic Lodge #626. Family members left to cherish his memory include his wife of 48 years, Glenna Anderson Moore; his daughters Lisa Moore of Lake Norman and Kelly Moore Smith and husband, J.D. of Cudjoe Key, FL; his brother Lamar Moore (Bonnie); his sister Betty M. Lambert (Barry); his grandson Hunter James Smith; beloved nieces, nephews and extended family. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 19th from 10:30-12:00 at Whitley's Funeral Home. Funeral services to remember and celebrate Mr. Moore's life will begin at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Michael Waters and Barry Kemp, Pastors.
