James Richard Parson

Obituary: James Richard Parson, 63, of Kannapolis passed away Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at his home. He was born May 15, 1954 in Marion, SC, a son of the late Rub and Annie Sweatt Parson. James had just retired from Southeastern Metal Products where he was a sheet metal mechanic for many years. He was a member of Landis Baptist Church. He loved his country, Nascar racing and his naps. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Landis Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Richie Honeycutt. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Saturday at Whitley's Funeral Home. James is survived by his wife, Debbie Faggart Parson, daughter, Nikki P. Schafer and husband Chris, son, Chris Parson and brother-in-law, Obie Faggart. Memorials may be made to Landis Baptist Church, 110 N. Kimmons Street, Landis, N.C.
