James Allen Safrit

Obituary: Mr. James Allen Safrit, 91, of Rimertown, NC passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2015. He was born May 3, 1924, in Cabarrus County, NC. James retired from Cannon Mills after 41 years of service. He also retired from Radio Shack and Sears. He was an avid bowler for more than 50 years. James is a member of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, Concord, NC. James was preceded in death by wife, Doris of 28 years, wife, Ruth of 25 years and daughter Julie Ann Safrit King, Brothers, Guy and Rex and Sister, Glenna S. Wise. He is survived by daughter, Debbie Safrit Rahme and husband Earl, of the home, granddaughter Hannah King Barnhardt and husband Brandon, of China Grove, NC and brother, Charles Wayne Safrit, Rimertown. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, 4500 Rimer Road, Concord, NC. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Cross of Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery officiated by Pastor Rafe Allison and Pastor Joe Harding, Jr. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please send donations to Hospice House of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
