James Marvin Sanders

Mr. James Marvin Sanders, 77, of Kannapolis went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 14, 2020 after a period of declining health. James was born March 21, 1943 in Darlington Co. SC, a son of James Ozzie Sanders and Mason Margaret Hall Sanders.

James was proud to have served in the United States Navy for Twenty Three and one-half years. After retirement, he was owner operator of a trucking business. Times for relaxing were spent with family and friends camping at Lake Norman and Lake Myers. James liked listening to good country music and watching the Atlanta Braves. James will be remembered as a man that truly loved his family and wanted them to be happy and enjoy life.

Family members that will forever cherish the time spent with James are his wife, Mary Ann Foley Sanders; his daughter, Vickie Sanders Powell and husband Gary Dale Powell of Enochville; his grandchildren, Jatana Sanders, Rhonda Fink, both of Enochville, Shaun and Candis Chaffin of Mocksville and his great-grandchildren, Christopher McDermott (Kala), Bryan Fink, Josh Chaffin, Cianna Colf, Aleigh Chaffin, Kaeligh McDermott and Logan Chaffin.

James will be missed by his neighbors and friends and all that knew him.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, September 18, 2020 at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove, NC, with Pastor David Rowell officiating. Friends may speak with the family members following the service. PLEASE PRACTICE ALL SAFETY PROTOCOLS
