Lansing-
James Travis Shaver, 73, passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 28, 2019, at Ashe Memorial Hospital in Jefferson.
Born January 31, 1946 in Cabarrus County, James was a son of the late James Alex Shaver and Nora Elizabeth Carver Shaver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Scott Shaver and his sister-in–law, Lillie Mae Shaver.

Family members left with cherished memories include his wife, Carolyn Shaver; his sons, David and Travis Shaver; sister, Linda “LuLu” Wingler (Ernest); brothers, Norman Shaver and Larry Shaver (Teresa); his grandson, Aaron Shaver; and extended family members.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, October 30th from 6:00-8:00 pm at Whitley’s Funeral Home. Funeral services to remember and celebrate Mr. Shaver’s life will begin at 11:00 am Thursday in the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Revs. Ronnie Cooper and Leonard Ewing. Mr. Shaver will be laid to rest at Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery in Kannapolis.
