Jane Susan Avant

Obituary: Jane Susan Avant, age 67, of Kannapolis passed away Monday, December 18, 2017 at Big Elm Nursing Center. Jane was born August 9, 1950 in Iredell County a daughter of the late Chester Eugene Avant and Lois Lumsden Avant. She attended A. L. Brown High School and was a member of Central Baptist Church. Miss Avant was a longtime resident of Big Elm Nursing Center. Those left to cherish her memories are her Sister Patricia Ann Shepherd of Statesville; Niece Kelli Keever (John) of Mooresville; Aunt Connie Brown (Charlie) of Landis; great-niece and nephew Meredith and Ryan Keever; and numerous cousins. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, December 21, at Carolina Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Curtis Parker. Memorials: Central Baptist Church, 1810 Moose Rd., Kannapolis, NC 28083. The family would like to thank the staff of Big Elm Nursing Center for their loving care of Jane. Whitley's Funeral Home is serving the Avant family.
