Obituary: Jane Marlene Sullivan Day, 77, of Kannapolis, left this temporary home on May 1, 2013. She was born June 19, 1935, in Charlotte, NC, to parents, Robert Blythe Sullivan, Sr. and Janie Mae Morrow Sullivan Austin. She is the loving sister of Robert "Bob" Blythe Sullivan, Jr., Jimmy Ross Sullivan, Ann Sullivan, and Brenda Sullivan Honeycutt. Her teenage sweetheart, James Franklin Day, Sr. and she have been married for 57 years. A graduate of Central High School , Charlotte, NC, where she discovered the love and talent of typing, which led to her long career as a secretary and accounts receivables/payables clerk with 35 years at CB Drug Corporation in Harrisburg, NC. Enjoy the no worrying, no pain, the loved ones you've missed, & the constant joy of being with the one you asked to be your Savior, "Be sure to ring me one time to let me know you got home". She is survived by her caring husband, James, siblings, Bob, Jimmy, and Brenda, children, James "Jimmy" Franklin Day, Jr. and Jennifer Morrow Day Pauley, and grandchildren, Hannah Elizabeth Pauley and Emily Ruth Pauley. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Ann. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Whitley's Funeral Home. The service will be held on Monday, May 6th at 1:00 at Faith Baptist Church, Kannapolis, NC. The burial is to follow at Carolina Memorial Cemetery, Concord, NC.
