Jane Morgan Jones

Obituary: Jane Morgan Jones, 82, passed away Friday morning, June 1, 2018, at Avante of Concord. Born September 2, 1935 in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late Craig Columbus Morgan and Betty M. Morgan Bost. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Drayton "Pete" Bost and her first husband, Coy Coleman Holt. Mrs. Jones retired from Charlotte Mecklenburg Hospital Authority after 20 years of service, where she was a geriatrics technician. Jane was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed gardening and trips to the South Brunswick Islands. Mrs. Jones will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Family members include her husband, Ted Bunyan Jones; her son, Ronald Holt; daughter, Debra Holt Pickler (Paul); step children, Mark Allen Jones and Angela Starr Vargner (Paul); her sister, Jeanette McCalvin; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Monday, June 4th from 1:00-2:00 pm at Whitley's Funeral Home. Services to remember and celebrate the life of Mrs. Jones will begin at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Steve Davis. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
