Jane Quinn Reece

Obituary: Jane Quinn Reece, age 86, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Transitional Health Services, Kannapolis, NC after an extended illness. She was born March 26, 1928 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of the late William L. Quinn and Lucy Wilson Quinn. Jane was a graduate of the former Cannon High School. Jane was also employed with the former Cannon Mills Company, Plant One, Chemical Lab Dept., for thirty-six years until her retirement in 1992. She held her church membership at Trinity United Methodist Church, Kannapolis, NC. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne B. Reece, who died Sept. 22, 1993; one sister, Rosa Ella Chapman; and two brothers, Dwight Quinn and Willard Quinn. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Kirk Tutterow. The family will receive friends at the graveside service. Survivors include her two children, Susan Reece (Susie) Patterson of Concord, NC and William L. (Buzzy) Reece of Cornelius, NC; and one granddaughter, Sarah Lucy Patterson of Concord, NC. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 416 E. First Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
