Janet Hunter Dixon Peck

Obituary: Kannapolis, NC- Janet Hunter Dixon Peck, age 50, died unexpectedly Thursday, December 6, 2012 at her home. She was born October 2, 1962 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of F. Gene Hunter and the late Eva Sheets Hunter. She was also preceded in death by her 1st husband, Joe L. Dixon, who died in 2008. Janet was a 1980 graduate of A.L. Brown High School. She was a faithful member of Charity Baptist Church, Kannapolis, NC where she participated in their Radiate and Oasis ministry programs. Her family fondly remembers her as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. The funeral service will be 6:00 P.M. Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Charity Baptist Church, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Marty Payton. A graveside service at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 10th. The family will receive friends at the church from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Sunday at the church prior to the service. Survivors in addition to her father include her 2nd husband, Daniel James Peck; children, Jessica Preston & husband, William and Jerret Joe Dixon, both of Kannapolis, NC; her grandchild, Alyssa Jade Preston; her brother, Bobby Hunter of Kannapolis, NC; her niece, Cheyenne Hunter.
