Janet Dudley Pugh

Obituary: Janet Carol Dudley Giddings Pugh, age 71, passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, NC after a short period of declining health. She was born June 19, 1945 in Rowan County, NC, the daughter of the late Paul Dudley and Constance Petrea Dudley. Janet was a 1963 graduate of South Rowan High School. Janet was employed at the former Cannon Mills Company, Plant Four, in the cloth room as an inspector for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the Baptist faith. Her family fondly remembers her love of playing Bingo and cooking biscuits. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a husband of 27 years, Leo Giddings; siblings, Bud Dudley and Wayne Dudley. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, February 13, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Dr. Joel Ervin. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM Monday at the funeral home prior to the service. Survivors include her children, Danny Giddings, Tammy Black, and Denny Giddings; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Raper and Peggy Dudley.
