Obituary: Janey Lucille Hubbard, 80, of Kannapolis passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at her home. She was born March 11, 1938 in Wilson, NC, a daughter of the late Jacob Calvin Edmundson and Lucille Virginia Edmundson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Guy Hubbard, Sr. Janey worked as a teacher's aide in Kannapolis City Schools. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, China Grove. She was an avid sports fan. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 6:45 PM Friday, May 11, 2018 at Whitley's Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 PM in Whitley's Chapel officiated by Rev. Jon Sherrill. Janey is survived by three children, Jimmy Guy Hubbard, Jr (Lori), Jamie Hubbard King (Chris), Joseph Lawrence Hubbard (Jill), grandchildren, McKenzie Hubbard Hooks (Jason), Cal Hubbard, Andrew Hubbard, Ty Hubbard, Brooks Hubbard, great grandchild, Griffin Hooks and her cousin, Judy Rowland (Danny).
